Experts in Landscaping – Certified Nursery and Landscape Professionals

Our staff consists of Certified Nursery & Landscape Professionals (CNLPs). CNLPs have a minimum of three years work experience in the industry, take a rigorous proficiency examination administered by the New York State Nursery & Landscape Association, and must maintain an ongoing educational program.

Scott Benson is the President of Benson Enterprises.

Having started the company in 1987 while still in high school, he continued to grow the business while attending college at Alfred State. After college, Scott used his knowledge and experience in the landscaping field to expand Benson Enterprises to what it is today.

He continues to have the same personal approach as when he started the company by being readily accessible to all his customers. His strong work ethic and belief in excellent customer service are reflected in all aspects of the company from the courteous, knowledgeable employees to the excellent quality of the services.

Our Senior Landscape Designer, Greg Fritz, is a very talented and professional design artist with a stunning portfolio of completed projects. 

His knowledge of plants and building materials combined with his extraordinary creativity enables him to design landscapes of many styles and themes. His outgoing personality, communication skills and hands-on approach to detail make working with him both productive and enjoyable.

Greg approaches each landscape design with sensitivity to the surrounding environment, an understanding of each homeowner’s lifestyle and attention to the architectural characteristics of each home. He interacts directly with customers through the design and bidding process and oversees the work throughout all phases of construction. Greg is a Certified Nursery & Landscape Professional (CNLP) with a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Connecticut. He has worked in the landscaping field since 1995.

Jason Erb was with Benson Enterprises for over a year as a Team Leader in the field before he joined us as the Operations Supervisor. 

His experience in the field makes Jason very knowledgeable about what our customers expect from Benson Enterprises.

In addition, Jason has over 15 years of customer service experience and 7 years in the lawn care industry where he came from one of the nation’s top lawn care companies.  Along with his DEC Commercial Pesticide Applicator license, he has a vast knowledge of grass types, weed identification and control and general cultural practices to maintain a beautiful lawn and landscape. 

Jason is very eager to continue to learn more and increase his knowledge to give the highest quality service to our customers.  He works closely with our production crews and customers to ensure that the work completed on each property is to the highest standards and that all our customers’ needs are met.

Ben has over 15 years of experience in the landscaping and customer service industry making him an essential link in the landscape transformation process from start to finish.

Ben will work closely with our customers to identify their maintenance and installation needs. Customers enjoy working with Ben because his outgoing personality and landscape knowledge make each meeting efficient. His years of hands-on experience combined with his passion for nature provide him with the confidence and skills to serve our customers in all their landscape needs.

Aaron is responsible for advising customers on their landscaping needs.

He also provides direction and support to crew members to ensure that jobs are done to our clients ’expectations.

Aaron graduated from St. John Fisher with a degree in adolescent teaching. He taught for the Rochester City School District for 5 years, while working at Benson during the summers.

With 10 years of experience in sales and operations within the landscaping industry, Christina is a great addition to the sales team as a Landscape Consultant.  She’s responsible for making sure our clients have an exceptional experience every time. 

Her passion for helping clients bring their vision to life shines through in her work, and she works hard to build lasting relationships with them. She leads our sales efforts and is hands-on in making sure every project runs the way it should. She’s also a certified Greenhouse Technician, Grower Technician, and holds an LNLA certification, making her an expert in her field. 


Leona has over 12 years of experience in the Green Industry, complemented by expertise in HVAC and plumbing operations.

With a background in Horticulture, she excels in overseeing daily operations and developing efficient teams. Her passion for continuous learning and leadership development drives her success. From starting part-time pulling weeds to becoming a respected professional.

After twenty-four years working for Benson Enterprises, Ramon is still passionate about flowers, plants, and trees. He studied plant identification and plant health at Cornell University and most recently completed an OSHA 10 certification course.

He shares that enthusiasm for his work and his love of plants with the teams he oversees and trains. He loves to help both plants and people grow to their full potential while maintaining the highest standards of quality work, and his bilingual skills are an asset when communicating with clients and his teams. 

Shawn has an actual lifetime of experience in the landscaping industry and is able to bring an impressive skillset and list of industry certifications along with his unique 360 degree perspective to meet every challenge from all aspects of sales to design/build to the completion process.

He is a goal-oriented strategist who loves helping people develop their skills and build the confidence to achieve things they never thought they could. He thrives on meeting challenges and problem solving as part of a team that wins by transforming clients into raving fans of Benson Enterprises. 

Heather works as our Accounting and Marketing Assistant, managing Benson Enterprises’ branding and helping keep our accounting in order. She works closely with our marketing and printing vendors, always looking to improve and push the team towards success. 

Beyond work, she’s passionate about traveling, keeping a good book in hand, and making memories through photography. She’s driven to make a real difference in our growth and visibility, and she’s always eager to help those around her succeed. 

Ciera is our Administrative & Sales Support Specialist, and she helps to create lasting relationships with our customers. She works closely with the office and sales team to ensure everything runs smoothly, and with her experience and skills, she helps the sales team service the accounts. 

Ciera is passionate about supporting both our team and our clients, and always striving to keep our success going strong. She’s dedicated to making sure that our customers not only receive top-notch work they’ll love but also feel confident knowing they have a trusted business partner by their side. 

Audra has worked 5 years in the landscaping industry and has 30 years of experience in bookkeeping, finance/sales, and customer service. She is the Administrative Assistant to the team and oversees AR collections, invoicing, and phone support. 

With a passion for seeing projects to their completion, Audra strives to help her team and provide great team and client experiences through her positivity and determination. She is always working to improve her skillsets and carry out her role to the best of her ability.
