Benson Landscape & Design continues to grow and is currently seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and motivated Landscape Sales Consultant to join our team.
We are seeking a full-time, year-round Landscape Consultant with experience in residential landscape sales including landscape installation/design, maintenance, pruning, and edging/mulching. Competitive compensation with commission and bonus opportunities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building client relationships, developing creative outdoor solutions, and guiding projects from concept through completion.
Candidates with landscape design experience, hardscape knowledge, and design-build project experience are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have the ability to collaborate with clients on outdoor living concepts and communicate ideas through hand sketches, landscape plans, or computer-aided design tools. However, we are willing to train the right sales-oriented candidate who possesses strong landscape knowledge and a passion for the industry.
Primary Responsibilities
- Meet with current and prospective customers to discuss landscaping services and projects
- Create and present proposals and estimates for landscape projects and services
- Follow up with customers regarding revisions, questions, and project approvals
- Manage projects by coordinating with team leaders and monitoring quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction throughout the project
- Maintain strong communication with customers from initial consultation through project completion
- Follow through on all leads and proposals in a timely manner
- Develop new business opportunities through referrals, networking, and existing customer relationships
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of landscaping and in-field experience required; horticulture degree a plus
- Sales experience preferred
- Experience with residential landscape construction and/or design-build projects preferred
- Knowledge of hardscape design and installation preferred
- Ability to create landscape concepts through hand drawing, sketches, or computer design programs is a plus
- Familiarity with landscape design software such as Dynascape, Structure Studios, CAD, or similar programs is beneficial but not required
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to grow and maintain client relationships
- Ability to estimate profitable projects including labor and materials
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong focus on customer care and providing an exceptional client experience
