Certified Nursery & Landscape Professionals
Put your mind at ease when hiring Benson Enterprises with our Certified Nursery & Landscape Professionals. Our CNLPs have the training and certification to help make your landscape more beautiful.
The New York State Nursery and Landscape Association, Inc. states that the Certified Nursery & Landscape Professional Program is an intensive, on-going educational program designed to increase the skills of garden and landscape employees. The program was designed by members of the nursery and landscape industry with assistance from Cornell University. CNLPs are trained in a wide range of subjects, including plant pests and diseases, weeds and weed control, soils, fertilizer, pruning, and much more. Because of their intense training, you can be confident that the CNLP is there to help you with the specialized skills to make your landscaping dreams a reality and leave you more time to enjoy it!
The Certified Nursery & Landscape Professional program was instituted over 20 years ago as a way for consumers to find professional help within the landscape industry. CNLPs have a minimum of three years’ work experience in the industry, take a rigorous proficiency examination administered by the New York State Nursery & Landscape Association, and must constantly be retrained and tested to keep their certification.
