Site Preparation
Our experts prepare the area for installation by clearing any existing obstacles, grading the ground, and ensuring proper drainage to prevent water accumulation.
Installation
All walks will be excavated to a depth of 8-12” below final grade. The width of the walk will be over-dug by 6” on each side. We install and tamp a 5-9” base of crushed stone to reduce settling.
A thin layer of leveling sand will be laid in order to achieve the proper pitch and will also serve as a bedding layer for the walk material. We then lay it in the pattern you have selected, along with a border course. Restraint edging is added to help your walk to stay true to form.
Finishing Touches
Once the installation is complete, we sweep polymeric sand into the joints, according to the manufacturer’s recommendation. This acts as a grout which holds the pavers firmly in place and reduces weed growth. Finally, we hose down your new walk to reveal the final product.
